Default Oil pressure light

The oil pressure light is on when the truck is in park. does it idle low and is that why it does not have enough pressure? or is it something else? i would like to know before i pay fully for the truck.

Not nearly enough info, but beings it's not yours, safe bet is not to buy it. Having an oil light on at idle could mean a few different things, none good, but some not so bad. good luck

How many miles on the truck? What is the gauge saying when the light comes on?

Are you talking this light?

That means the engine is low on oil. Pull the dipstick and check it.

Okay, it drives smooth has 101000 miles on it. Sorry was to tired, yes it is the low oil light. sorry my mistake. and it just flickers on and off when in park. It does not do it when it is in any other gear. And it is full of oil. Could the sensor be bad? I am not use to workin on trucks. I been workin in ag mechanics for our school and on old old tractors. But any idea wrong? sorry for not alot of info if you need more ask what ya need because i am new to this forum and lil confused.

Okay was thinkin, could this be a bad spring in the oil filter? Because if it isnt working properly wouldnt that mess up?

I can't compare my 95 to others but the oil light does seem to stay on longer when I am starting her up.

There is no low oil light on a dodge ram, just pressure gauge/and warning/idiot light. Do yourself a favor and do not buy that truck.
