Ok, so what if I ditched the cat? And do the non fouler thing, for emissions testing they just plug into odb connection. If no check engine light, would I pass?

If there is a visual inspection, you would fail.

So a hollowed cat with the non fouler trick would pass? Maybe some headers and that jegs pipe I seen in another thread with a hollowed cat in there would be good?

The magnaflow hi-flo replacement cat, that also replaces the y-pipe... isn't that much more money, and would be a lot less hassle.... and you would still look pretty stock. Emissions wouldn't be a problem either.

Not too bad, but, as always, there are better ones out there in the aftermarket.

Looking at the magnaflow cat and ypipe, it doesn't look all that less restrictive. Anyone got cut out pics of stock vs magnaflow?

My truck both down tubes run into cat, no y pipe before it.

I guess if I got headers, off road y pipe, non foulers, and a good muffler and tail pipe exit before tire. I could put the while stock system on for the ten minutes of emissions testing.

But that may be too much work in the winter to swap...
