Default Certificate of Origin (MSO/MCO)

Does anyone know how to get a copy of the certificate of origin for my truck? The original dealer said they only kept 7 years worth of records. I called dodge and the lady had me send in an email inquiry after telling me I could download it - so I'm not sure she really understood what I needed. Any ideas?

Certificate of Origin??? One of the digits in the VIN number will tell you where it came from..... First digit will at least get you the country.

1 is US
2 is Canada
3 is Mexico.....

Although the country of origin is written all over the vehicle and built-in to the VIN, I need the actual certificate in order to avoid paying a huge import tax in Mexico.

I sent out a request at that link so I guess I'll have to wait and see.
