Question abs sensor readings

1998 2500 4x4 5.9L
I had a heck of a time last year getting the hub assemblies off, I had the $$$, so I took it to the shop. I ordered Timken bearings off the net, but when I went to pick the truck up the mechanic told me one of the hubs must have been dropped and cracked the abs sensor inside. HENCE the brake and ABS light are on. I am not too worried about having ABS, but the dash light annoys me.
Is there anyway I can verify what the mechanic told me? I was hoping someone knew the resistance readings of these sensors and I could go from there.

If one of the hub assemblies was faulty, why did he even put it on??? Any kind of warranty on those? They ain't cheap..... I would be lookin' at getting whomever you got them from to replace it.

About 900 to 1000 ohms depending on where the tone ring is in relation to the pickup.
The sensor is about $80-$90 at a dealer.

Ouch. Nope, don't need to spin the tire.

That's one of the reasons I get parts of that nature locally......

Thumbs down

yeah lesson learned, I just hope its something simple and not the bearing assembly. If it is the abs in the assembly looks like I will have to get used to driving with the "light" on or get a resistor to stab in LOL
