Default Brake Lights not working!!!

so my brake lights aren't working at all. the fuses are fine. the other day I was driving and i saw smoke coming from my steering collum and my brake lights stopped working and my right blinker blinks fast. I'm thinking maybe the wires melted together under my steeling collum and caused my brake lights not to work at all and my right blinker too? When i put the 20amp fuse in for my brake light, my brake lights stay on except the right side.....did i blow a relay? should I take my steering collum off and see whats going on? any ideas? help would be GREAT!!!!

Thanks!

Yep, gotta pull the covers off the steering column, and have a look.

Sorry to sound like an ***, but what difference does that make ? LOL

You need to check the wires and the plug on the multifunction switch.
