yes, 40 psi with compressor running. i am going to evac the system and start from scratch this weekend.

That is exactly what I was going to suggest. Good call, hope it works out.

BTW, did you try putting a jumper on the low side switch wire(when disconnected from the switch)?

I tried jumping low and high at separate times and together for giggles...nothing.

According to the first post it does.


So, with the motor running and AC on, when you remove and jump the plug to the low side switch, the compressor does not turn on?

The compressor turns on when I turn the a/c on. It runs no problem.

It runs for 3 to 5 seconds or it stays on?

It now runs constantly...it is fixed. There was a leak in a seal. Ice cold a/c today in the 90 degree heat we have. Thanks guys.

What seal? I'm guessing the low side port check valve?

it was the high line port just to the left of the condessor unit itself.
