Default Bucking Truck

I had my 1998 Ram 1500 (V8) out camping this weekend and after i disconnected the camper and drove it around awhile i noticed that it began bucking pretty frequently. The service engine light is on and auto zone said that its a cylinder misfire code. Do you think that a tune up would remedy this or is this bucking and error code more serious. If it is a tune up, what's involved - distributor cap, plugs and wires?

In addition, the following day when we headed home with the camper hooked up, it didnt buck at all but the service engine light is still on.

Distributor Cap & Rotor, plugs and wires. I would do the tune-up anyway and check out the wire routing per the TSB in the DIY section.

Bucking is also a sign of a bad torque converter, or so I have been told.

Maybe you got some bad fuel along the way. try resetting the PCM and see if the light comes back.
