My friend told me I had a marker light in front out so I went to fix it today and I realized the marker light wasn't out. It was just that the part that screws into the lamp wasn't in. I proceeded to screw the assembly into the lamp and it won't fit. So I pulled the other side out and its a completely different assembly how does this happen? I even followed the wires and looked for splices anywhere to see if somebody did this but I couldn't find any. Anyways can anybody point me in the right direction of what year assembly is which so I can get the right one. Thanks once again.

Somebody must have changed the socket at one time or another.

yeah I didn't notice that until you said something. Why would somebody get the wrong year stuff and wire it up before they even check to see if it fits, if its not an oe replacement. I swear when I get all this stupid little stuff fixed trucks going back on craigslist before it falls apart. So is the one that works a 98-up cause I believe my 97 had the black plastic round one like the drivers side.

 

Go to the junk yard and match it up.
