ill have to check if mine is 3 or 4 bolt, also would you suggest replacing the seal and bearing also?

My bad. So it does. (that's what I get for posting when I am tired.)

The bearing is huge, and would require some effort to replace, if it isn't damaged, don't worry about it. Seal? Might just as well, you are going to be RIGHT there..... There is also a bushing in there... might wanna have a look at it, and if it looks rough, replace that too. (keep in mind, that feller is pressed in/out..... might have to take it to a machine shop somewhere to have that done.)

What? there is only one TC saver.

And if anyone in the future does a search, and reads this thread. Notice , you do NOT see a 241 transfer case listed. Doesn't matter if it has 3 or 4 or 100 bolts. The TC Saver does not fit or work on a 241 TC.


"Fits: 1988-2000 Dodge, Chevy & GMC NP231, 242 & 243 transfer cases. Will not work on 3 bolt tail housing units."

yea i was looking at the part numbers for the seal and thought it was the tc saver. thanks for being understanding.
