Thanks. I really could care less either way, just found that link and had to do it. For your application, the stacks are a good idea, but you must keep a coat of mud on the truck as a prerequisite.

Lol i onlly washh my truck once every months as is. Lol, how would it affect preformance to run 2.5in pipe to the stacks then bump up to 3 in or 3.5 in for the stacks....oh yea the stcks themselves are only gonna be 36 in long

You could run dummy 4in pipe run 3 inch pipe then somehow mount 4in pipe over them cut the 3 in pipe shorter then run the 4 in over the top. Just thinking outloud

Too big and your exhaust will cool and lose velocity and thus scavenging ability, costing you some power. 2.5" or 3" maximum.

Are you thinking dual stacks, or single?

Aim, I think he is suggesting running a faux pipe.. one inside the other.. look at it like having a 2.5~3" I/D pipe, with a 4" O/D.. they should remain plenty hot enough to scavenge in that case, unless I'm missing something you know that I don't.. which wouldn't be surprising.. don't you think that would work?

ill be runnin duals, im thinking true duals with stacks instead of the more tradional route.


edit.. i thought about a fake pipe but as stated earlier im not doing it for looks im doing it for the functionality( wow that was a big word lmao)

I once knew a guy that had stacks on an old Toyota pickup. He used to offroad alot. Heres where it got cool. One stack was used for exhaust. The other one was his air intake.
