Default Why is my engine Missing on rainy mornings?

Why is my engine missing on mornings after it rains? For the last couple of weeks I have been parking my truck outside. If it rained really hard the night before or it's a foggy morning, my truck will start missing for the first couple of miles, then it starts running normal. I've never had a problem if I park it in the garage, even on totally foggy mornings. It's never happened while it's raining, or starting it up in the afternoon, after a rain. I could understand it if I was driving it and I got sometime wet, but I don't see how sometimes is getting wet sitting still? It starts missing as soon as I started up the engine. The first time I noticed it was three years ago, when I spend the night at the girlfriends house.

I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 5.2L.

Thank you for your time helping me fix my problem!

You most likely have water, or moisture in your ignition system. Coat every poll on your coil, distributor cap, and spark plugs with dielectric grease, and check the distributor cap for cracks.

i would try disconnecting each electrical connector, then replugging/unplugging it again 3 or 4 times to scratch off any tarnish, then apply a very small dab of di-electric grease

edit. looks like i came in last place in that race.

All the above plus check that the rubber seal at where the firewall and hood meet is in place.

i had the same issue with my 97 ram, water is running down in between hood and top of your firewall and making its way inside your computer, the heat from your engine bay eventually evaperates the water that made its way into your computer, thats way it clears out down the road. fix the leak and you should be good

I had a simular problem with mine, the wires on the O2 sensor were bad. The isulation had broken apart and I think it was getting moisture in there giving bad readings. It would be fine for the first minute or two then act up for a couple of minutes then be fine again.
