air conditioner check?
same in mine, however when i put the ac in something in the engine compartment makes a clicking noise every 10 sec or more.
the clicking sound you hear is the compressor clutch engaging and disengaging. if it is doing it every 10 seconds then you need an a/c recharge. but if you are low on refrigerant that usually means you have a leak somewhere. most places will charge it for you and put in some dye to try and locate the leak. if you are not getting any cold air try putting it on max a/c and on the coldest setting, then run the engine up to 2000rpm and see what happens.

Does the compressor run at all? (as your are standing in front of the truck, looking at the motor, it will be on top of the motor, to your right.) If the clutch isn't engaging, might be a bad switch, or, it might be low on refrigerant. You can jumper the low pressure switch, to see if it is just low on refrigerant. Don't run it very long that way. Just enough to see if it works.

Btw sorry im in your thread rustynuts but i dont wanna make another thread lolz.
it is not good to use rifrigerant from autozone or anything like that. you should only put refrigerant in if you have a gauge set and are certified. if you put too much refrigerant in the system you can ruin the compressor. and if you add too much it will make the system run warm and at high pressures and your system will not function properly. best to take it in to a certified shop to have it emptied and refilled. it may be expensive but if you ruin the a/c system you are looking at a minimum of $2000 to replace the parts and thats not counting the labor
