New timming Chain tensioner should be added to your list of new parts.

Ok...so after burning $10 worth of gas and numerous phone calls looking for parts, I decided to go the "2 hose clamps and a piece of hose" route

BUT...when u buy "a foot" of tranny line from NAPA...thats ALL u get and I wasnt comfotable with that little coverage on the lines...needed another inch or 2(dont we all)

Soooooo...I borrowed a quick disconnect tool and took the thing off, used an 15/64 drill bit and CAREFULLY drilled that sucker out of there.
After a 1/2 can of brakeclean and ALOT of water dousing and more brakeclean....I'm confident I got all remnants of the checkball and the other crap out of there...reinstalled it and added a1/2 quart of fluid.

Done in 20 mins,15 of which was cleaning the hose.

cost?......$10 in gas and $2.50 for the unused tranny hose....

Thanks for the help guys....

Heres a link to my Plenum repair. I did everything you talked about doing at the beginning except the roller rockers and took pics. Figured it may help a bit. Good luck man!

If ya get really stuck, send me a PM. You aren't that far away, and I would happily come down and lend a hand, bit of cash for the gas would be all I would ask. (and maybe a beer or two..... )
