Transmission will not come out

Default Transmission will not come out

so im putting a new trans in the truck due to the other going out i have everything disconnects lines hoses and connectors and all bell housing bolts as well as torqe converter bolts and the transfer case. i have tried pouding and everything but the dam thing will not come out so isk wha tto do with it. its a 99 dodge ram with a 5.2l 4wd i might try prying between the block and transmission?
any help really aprriciated.

Make sure that you got all the bolts out. The ones at the top of the trans are reportedly hard to get to.....

Might be stuck on the guide pins, use a pry bar between the bellhousing, and block, and see if you can get them to break loose a little bit. Make sure you work on both sides. (get one side LITTLE, then, go to the other.) Broken transmission castings aren't worth a whole lot.

thanks i just went to home depot and got a big *** pry bar and sure enough it came out it was stuck on the guide pins lol
