rear crossmember installation. HELP!!
I jsut had my t-case rebuilt and I cannot get the rear cross member back in for the life of me. ITs literally 1/2" longer than the space between the frame it is supposed to go in. Ive tried slipping , jacking and pounding it in from all angles top bottom diagonally etc. Im stumped. Anyone know the trick to getting this thing in there? HELP.

I tried. I was alone though. If I could get a bottle jack and a 4' bar with plates at the end or something it may work... lots of stuff to hold together though.
Either way, I dropped the truss on my hand last attempt last night, and almost took off the top of my thumb... so...The mechanic can do it now. I literally took my thumb half way off when this thing fell the distance my my lifted undercarriage and got the tip of my thumb... Wish I had just let it fall on my arm... Would have hurt life hell, but i would just have a bruise instead of a mangle hand...

lol hell no. all they would do is pay me to scrub it clean and stitch it up so it looks pretty, I could care less how it ends up looking. I cleaned it out real good with alcohol and bandaged it up. Hald my mother in law walk me threw it. [shes a nurse]

Lol?? must be thinking of a dfferent part...no way to do that. above wher eit rests is the bottom of the tub. I had a friend come over and we got it done. took 2 jacks working together slowly to push it up into place. I was trying to do it alone the first time. Went much smoother the second time with help.
