For 3500 to 8000 RPM High-Performance Engines

Wave goodbye to any low end grunt you have. That is just not the right manifold for a truck.

i thought every 318, 340 and even the 360 after 1966 or something were Light A or LA engines (except in canada they kept the A until the 70's).

I don't think merc actually drives this truck b/c he is either a or doing this . Just poking at ya big guy.

I tried reading the entire thread and what I gather is that a M1 will not impact low end and shopping around will get you a good deal?

Oh it get's driven, Do I take care and pride in my truck "yes" am I OCD about it? maybe. It's a 96 with org paint and 155k miles on it and more Mopar opts than you can shake a stick at. YES I love my truck. A clean motor is a joy to work on and also more effiecant & safe. I spend a min of 8 hrs a week on it.

With minimum mods low end will not be impacted you just might get more, yes shop around for a used one. I can brake my two back tires (35's & 3.92s) free at 1800rpm no loss of tq here. but it ain't stock.

Damn...I wish they made one of those for a Magnum...I'd be all over it for my Dakota. Guess I could get my Eddy heads re-drilled.

For what it's worth, I have 2bbl M1 going on my 2500 Ram, and I tow a lot with it. Not worried about loosing low end at all....When was the last time anyone entered the freeway pulling a trailer at 2000 rpm anyway...?

That picture is wrong, the P5007790 is a 4bbl with 2bbl adaptor, not the 2bbl as pictured. That's why it's 319.00
