Default O2 sensors CEL

CEL came on and said bank 1 sensor 1 heater circuit malfunction,

Downstream sensor said low voltage.

both sensors have been replaced, and cel is still showing after reset. And now it comes on immediately where as before It took a few miles of driving. Now what? Do I have to replace the wiring?

Rock Auto, ultrapower

The odd thing was, this all happened ironically the same time my transfer case blew up. I had the case rebuilt, put it back in and everything works awesome,c then the o2 codes came on. I wrote them down on a box, but ended up returning parts in the box they were written on...

Im having the same problem too. both bank 1 sensor 1 and bank 1 sensor 2 came in the codes having to do with sending too much fuel by the high voltage and noticed its sucking a lot of gas.

Couple days ago, i went to the junk yard and pulled off sum wirings w two diff fittings and o2 sensors off from behind the cat conv., light still came on after the reset.

I reset it by taking the o2 sensor fuse out and then unhook the neg battery. CEL off and then it came on after idling the car for 5 mins..

Anybody knows anything abt oxygen sensors..which type and brand to buy n replace, give me heads up..thanks.

No, Thankfully...The chain even started slipping a few miles before It blew. Stretched 1/4 when we took it out and looked at it. But the case survived [has 280K on it. ] But It has to be physical wiring issues. what else could it be? and if it is, what do I do? aren't these connectors part of the main harness? I really do not want to have to take this car in, but it looks like I will have no choice.

Trace the wires. Might be easy. Start at the PCM, the connectors there like to corrode, and give you all sorts of interesting issues.

Ur right..its the wires that was splited open, only the white wire from after cat conv sensor..which caused the P0132 codes in but i wasnt sure which length to pick from autozone, so i picked the 22" one instead of the 18" and after taking the the front sensor from the front, i realized it was shorter than the new one. Question is..does it matter w the lengths? I dont think i needed the back oxygen sensor, but i replaced it anyways. All cost me 140 for both
