minor coolant flow into/out of the coolant tank and associated sounds are normal and coolant level in the tank might fluctuate a few inches, not much.

when coolant if spewing out of the overflow tank is when you should say. oh ****.

normal hot coolant and the radiator cap operate at about 16 psi more or less. but when a compression leak lets in high pressure, everything goes to hell quickly.

well on the jeep the pressure cap is 18lbs

Keep in mind, higher pressure raises boiling point as well.

Yes, and when it dumps into the tank it losses pressure and boils off.

I think you are fine, drive on.
