I made a huge mistake when changing fuel injectors.
So, I was changing or trying to switch my fuel injectors around today to see if I could fix the issue I was having. The problem I ran into was I had a pine need fall down in the fuel injector hole when I had pulled the injectors and was trying to remove the rail. Anyone have any tips on what to do about it? I'm thinking I'm going to have major motor trouble if I try to crank it like this, or am I wrong?
if the needle is in the fuel spray, i think it'll flush it out.
once it gets in the head port the engine will eat it no problem.
get out what you can, maybe blow it out with an air hose. then don't worry about it.
i dropped a wd40 straw down a spark plug hole one time. lol.

You seriously dropped a wd40 straw down the spark plug hole and it didn't mess anything up? I guess I'm used to 4 wheeler and dirtbike motors where they say dirt getting in the cylinder or through the air filter hole will mess up the motor, so I figured something like a leaf or even a WD40 straw would be a lot worse.
Is it worth going to buy another shop vac for? If I'm going to cause damage to the engine by firing it up, I will for sure go get another one.

a pine needle is not going to hurt the engine. it will vaporize in the cylinder on the first spark.
the worst it could do is stop up a teeny tiny little fuel port.

prolonged streams of dirt into an engine are very abrasive and will eat it up.
you could always port and polish your engine like this...
Hey guys, I've got a 98 1.8T. I've had a k04 and chip for a while and wanted to get more performance. I was recommended to port and polish the intake and exhaust. We found out they used abrasive material to do it like gritty sand. So I got with my friend that tunes Hondas and we decided to try it ourselves. We got a bag of sandblasting sand and hooked up into the intake and started the car. We had to hold the gas so it would run. He wanted to let the engine suck in the sand through the intake so it would port it out and then push it out the ehxaust so it would port the exhaust manifold.
I was worried that it might cause problems but he figured it'd be OK as long as we didn't make boost and it get sucked in the turbo. After running the car and letting it suck in sand we got about half way through a 25 lb bag. The check engine light was on and the engine was bucking and kicking and sounding really weird. We stopped and hooked the car back up normal and took off the sand supply. We tried to start it again and it was really hard. Once started it couldn't idle and kept making weird noises. We took it out and drove it and it started to make scraping and knocking noises.
Help! Can anyone tell me what to do! My buddy only does Hondas so he doesn't know much about Audis.
