At least on the van, the critical sensors are MUCH easier to get too......

If you are having performance problems at large throttle openings, and fuel pressure is correct...... and all the ignition parts are in good condition, I would look real hard at the coil, or crank sensor. (if you change the sensor, get it from the dealer, they actually work right)

I suppose it could be the ignition coil. The paint is peeling off. I'm not sure what that has to do with the performance of the ignition coil. Might just be old. Crank sensor on the transmission? Well it's like I said I'm going to change all these sensors when I pull this thing out to clean it anyway but it's good to know. Thanks. I don't think it's a transmission problem but it could be but I don't think it is.

Install the new crank sensor AFTER the engine is installed. Less chance of thrashing it that way. (they are frequently casualties of engine/trans R&R.)
