Please Help: Broken Spark Plug!(w/pics)
While doing plenum repair/tune-up on my 1999 5.2 1500 I broke a spark plug hex head off at the block. Luckily, the porcelain came out intact.
The washer portion below the hex including threads and electrode are intact. The washer head is a hair off the block face.
Has anyone dealt with this that could offer any advice?
Here is a pic down the heat boot and one of the other plugs to give you an idea of what I'm talking about.

And don't break the easy out......
Squirt it when your chemical penetrant of choice, use a long half-inch extension, and tap on it a little bit. (the vibrations help the chemicals penetrate. ya don't have to hit it hard.) Do that a couple times, and let is soak for a couple hours at least...... Good Luck. I hate those problems....

Now there is an accurate statement.....

Do yourself a favor and rid of those stupid heat shields. Also, cameras have a "macro" function
