If you look back at the first post my truck is a 98 2500 with a v10. I dont know if its a 47 or 48. research indicates a 47. but I havent checked and dont know how to.

It must be a 47, which is a little better, I think the 3:55's will hurt the tranny when towing more than anything else. Get your build sheet, http://www.dodge.com/wccsapp/univers...ull&category=U

Well, that makes a difference.

Check valve thing still applies though. The 47's were better, with some upgraded hard parts, I am not sure about the torque converter though..... given you have the V-10, I am not sure if any of the standard complaints apply......

I think the check valve has already been deleted. I had the hose off to fix the tranny cooler radiator seal and saw no valve.

You need to post pics. Unless you have just a hose with some clamps the check valve is there.

i see I will remove said ball bearing today. I am leaning on the relay. Just because it fits. But will be serviceing the tranny and removeing the check valve.
