Default hello

Howdy folks. New to this section, but i've been around the first gens for a while. Sold my 84 and picked up a 99 2wd reg cab short bed sport with 146k miles. The truck needs some front end work but i only got $1,500 in it and i figured i can afford to put a few more bucks in her at that price. I've had it a couple of days and so far so good, getting my parts list lined out. Emissions were fairly simple on the old truck, with long tubes, no cats, to flow masters and the smog pump delete she ran good but i'm nervous with all the sensors on the 99. eventually i want the same set up on this but i wanted to see what kind of problems and solutions people have came up with. Thanks

invest in a scan tool you can erase codes that your pcm throws due to mods like that,

(also i think autozone can clear codes with thier scan tools but im not sure.. id just invest in one if you plan on modding.)

You still have to use the sensors or it wont run right. The pre cat o2 sensor will be fine, I'd put it in an X or H pipe. The post cat might throw a code might not, if it does you can use 2 non foulers to fix it. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...converter.html . Look through the FAQ section, there is tons of info and things to spend your money on in there.

Oh and btw, all a scanner will do , is clear the code temporarily, if there is a problem the code will come right back.
