Hmmm...so no real side effects from deleting the egr...and a mopar performance pcm could just as easily fix the problem I guess!

Mopar Performance PCM probably assumes the EGR is still there....... and as it IS a performance 'tune' on there, it will only exacerbate the pinging issues with the EGR non-functional, as it runs higher advance in any event. Going to higher octane gas might take care of that, but, doesn't the perf PCM want premium anyway???
