since we are on the subject of radios , i have the stock tape deck but i really want CD player and keep the stock appearance of the dash , is there a radio in any other models i can use? like a grand cherokee , dakota durango or any other chrysler model..?

If anyone needs one for an 01 Ram I have the stock unit with the CD player and the Tape deck that I'd be willing to sell. PM me if interested.

yeah forgot to say about the wiring and mounting kit. Get the wiring harness from best buy all the wires are the same exact color so its very easy. BUT get the mounting kit from crutch field or sonicelectronix. The one in bestbuy is crap and i had to do several modifications so the radio can actually stay with it.

If you buy the radio at Crutchfield they give you the wiring harness and mounting kit free. That's something to think about if the price is halfway close to other retailers. If it's not, then buy wherever it's cheapest and get the harness and kit separately. At least that's what I'd do.
