Hey, hey, now. They don't only make left turns. LOL And alot of them are really good on the RC these day's. Not to mention all the RC drivers that can't turn left.

Anyway, that sounds like a BWD sensor. I say leave it in until after you try the new PCM.

Alright, I went back the original sensor and the truck ran well on Tuesday. How can a aftermarket company make sensors that throw codes right away? I am going to try and return said crappy part. NASCAR performance my ****.

I didn't do any more than a test drive as I knew the PCM was coming.

PCM finally arrived and installed Wednesday evening. I ran the truck all day Thursday and I think she's good to go. No stalling day 1.

Knock on wood.....

Well first off, as far as the NASCAR thing goes, that is just money. ANd BWD isn't the quality company it used to be. Standard Motor Products is by far better. Second, I think it's a bummer you didn''t try the PCM first. Oh well.

Yeah I know the NASCAR thing is just marketing and money but it cracks me up that a brand new sensor throws codes out of the box and they are worried about marketing and sponsors to sell the product. Ensure the product friggin works first.

Well I kinda did try the PCM first as the sensor that went back in was the old original crank sensor I had changed out in an attempt to troubleshoot with the less expensive part, the crank sensor.

So I am running with the same old sensors, only now with a new PCM, so far so good.

Or do you mean try the BWD sensor with the new PCM? I just didn't want to run with a sensor I know throws a code v. the old one which was fine, I was just troubleshooting.

Yea, I meant try it with the BWD sensor(leaving it in) and the new PCM. Just would have been nice to know which was the real problem. Thing is, if you had a problem before you changed the sensor originally, and had the same problem after, it's just a guess that the PCM was bad.

I am almost with you and I think we are saying the same thing.

I wanted to change one part and see if it was the issue. By changing 2 parts out, I won't know which part was the true culprit.

So by going back to the old sensor, and changing just the PCM, if the problem does not occur, it means it was the PCM at fault.

If I changed the Crank sensor to the BWD sensor AND also changed the PCM, I wouldn't know which part was the culprit. Correct?

Correct sir, That is exactly what I meant. Now the only thing you can do , is put the BWD crank sensor back in and see. Of course I wouldn't want my worst enemy to have to swap a crank sensor.

i went through it with my truck also, it is the plug on the ecm closest to the motor. when it stalled you loose your fuel pump and some gauges, next time it does it try to winggle the plug with the key in the on position, you should hear the fuel pump prim up. if thats the case go to a scrap yard and get a ecm from a track that has as close to the same options as your does,
with mine i tried a few things, crank/cam sensor didn't help, i changed to plugs in the harness that goes to the ecm and still nothing. so i switched my ecm out with a used one i picked up from a friend and no problems since.

also is your truck an auto or std. cause mine is a 5spd, dunno if that will make a differance

Day 4 no stalling, and it was hot this past weekend.

Re manufactured PCM from one of the big PCM mapping guys solved my problem.

Gave them my PCM part number and VIN number and they sent one out flashed and mapped for my truck. Return core and get lifetime warranty.

Less than three smackers, would have cost that in troubleshooting by the dealer alone.
