Get a new PCV from the dealer too. Only dealer.

Noob question, but now it has me concerned since I had the quick lube replace mine on my past oil change. Why dealer only on the pcv?

Please enlighten me.

Because it's made specific(tighter tolerences for a magnum motor), rather than aftermarket which is made more universal, to fit a verity of different applications.

Its all about flow rates. They aftermarket valves don't always have the correct flow rate, even though it says it is for your motor. Excessive flow, and you can suck oil. Not enough flow, and you can end up with crankcase pressure, and blow gaskets/seals.

I bet if we look back , you were told that by somebody. ANd it's in almost all the plenum related threads. Just get one on your way by some day and replace it. Not a big deal short term.
