Default Tranny makes noise when it shifts

1994 dodge ram 1500 5.2l 46rh

So this isn't a problem or anything, i'm just curious as to what this noise is im hearing, i dont think its anything serious because the tranny shifts nice and smooth and has never slipped.

But anyway, can anyone else hear when your tranny is about to shift? I can actually hear when my tranny is about to shift, its not a loud noise, but i notice it when i drive like a grandpa the most because my truck is the quietest, i hear a high pitch squeal, and then it shifts. It does it every time it shifts into a higher gear.

Has anyone else ever heard anything like this before?

Thanks,
Tweav

Mine doesn't do that....... Does it just sound like a short screech, as in something moving? Or, is it continuous, until it shifts?

Only TCC, and O/D are solenoid controlled. The rest is all hydraulic. The governor on the 96 and newer trucks is also electronic, and that's why the get the designation RE instead of RH...... (RH trans has a mechanical governor)

Wonder if your trans mount is getting bad?

I would take it to a transmission shop. If something is wrong maybe they can fix it before it gets worse
