3" lift install help
So installing my 3" suspension lift in my truck today. Got my coils out fine, moved to my lower control arms and boom, my front adjustment bolts are rusted right into the bushing of the stock arm. Anyone else ever had this problem? At this point it looks like im going to be cutting them out to get my new control arms in. Anybody got any tips or ways around this?
P.S. new bolts are $45 a piece! fml

Depends on how the lift gets it's lift.
Sorry those rusted bolts are a bitch. I had the same problem. Get your sawzall out and grab some blades. Just cut the bolt between the bracket and control arm bushing. Use a generous amount of antisieze on the new bolts.
Backwoods: Yea i did have to go to them, nobody else in my small town could get em, $45.80 a bolt $14.10 a washer and $7.10 for a nut. Ridiculous!
gipper: never even thought of the sawzall!! and it was lying on the ground right beside me from when i did my exhaust! thanks man im gunna try her tonight when im off work!

By the way got one arm off but now the new arm that came with kit is too long to fit...will a have to remove both lower controls arms first? I only have one off so far.

Yup welcome to lifting or doing front end work on our style trucks lol. Unless a good mechanic has replaced them before ive had to cut every adjustment cam bolt out. Dealership or not bolt when you put the new ones in use A TON OF ANTISIEZE!!!!!!!!!! on all metal to metal areas. Wont ever have a problem again.
