Default ac accumulator replacement

tried a search and found alot about haveing to change this but nothing on how.Do I need a specia ltool I tried to get off by pulling but no luck any help here I would appreciate it thanks

Yeah, you need the special release tool for those lines. Should be available at any parts store.

Make REAL sure there is no pressure in the system before you release them though, you won't like the results if there is still pressure.......

+1... If you are going to screw around with the AC system, you should get the Haynes AC manual at least.

Yeah when I replaced mine I had my brother helping me, and he was removing the first line when we heard a hissing sound followed by a loud pop!

I looked over to see half my engine bay covered in green. (i guess there was dye in it) my hood was also sprayed with green along with my brothers whole face. Lol im glad he could help!

Hand and eye protection is a must. And the system should be evacuated after installation of new parts, when the system has been opened.
