Default 1999 Ram 2500 AC Shuts Off

My 99 Ram 2500 w/ V10 AC shuts down when the truck warms up, been in 2 shops, both checked out refrigerent and all is fine, they say it is fixed, get it home truck warms up AC shuts off. They want to pull compressor, say clutch might be the problem. I read discussions that say blend door might be an issue, what do you think? Where is the blend door, how can you check it? Is there a relay that could shut it down?

Is the compressor turning off or is the AC just blowing out different vents?

The system has been evacuated twice and brought back up to charge by two different shops, and it is like clock work, once the motor warms up, approx. 10 minutes, the ac shuts off and won't come back on until the motor cools down.

Did they replace the orifice tube? Will it do the same thing sitting at idle? Try bypassing the high pressure switch when it decides to quit. If that makes the compressor run, DON'T LEAVE IT THAT WAY.

IIRC, on a 99 the orifice is built into the line. You got to buy the whole thing.

Yep it does do the same thing, even if it warms up sitting at idle...

So, let it quit, then put a jumper in the connector for the high pressure cutout switch. See if the compressor re-engages.
