Default Lifting a 96 ram

I am wanting to lift my 2wd ram. I have a 96 2500 and I was looking to buy the 3 inch spaces that you would put on top of the springs. If I did that I would have to install 3 inch blocks on the back?? Has anyone done this and how does it looks.

If you do 3" in the front I'd go 2" in the back. Just remember on a 2wd you're gonna be maxxed out with 3" spacers and the ride will be a little rough.

do you mean maxed out on the shocks on the front. If it is the shocks could I not install longer shocks.

It's not the shocks.

Its the angles the balljoints will be forced to operate at. Go over three inches, and you can put your balljoints into a bind situation. Do that too often, and they break. Usually at the worst possible moment. The results are expensive, painful at least, fatal at worst. And not just for you......

couple monts ago lifted mine, I put fabtech lifted coil springs 3", and in the rear inverted my belltech lowering hangers and shortened the shackles. now it rides rough off the road, in the highway its ok but still have the lowered shocks. I paid like $120 pavos for the coils in autopartsnetwork.com

You can go up to 3 inches, I think, without worry about control arms. Longer shocks would be a good idea.

The kit that they have only fits a 4x4 and 1500 Fabtec did not make a kit for a 2wd 2500 truck

Does anyone know where I could buy a coil spacer kit and blocks for a 96 3/4 2wd extended cab long bed. Everyone I call only have it for a 4wd or single cab
