Default Unidentified Part

I finally got around to replacing the heater core in my 1998 Ram, 1500, 360CID, Auto, 4X4. I am having trouble getting the dash to sit in the proper place it won't go forward towards the windshield. As I was playing with the dash I found this part laying on the floor, what is it and where does it go? Thanks

That looks like the "PRND21" indicator adjustment screw. Should have nothing to do with getting the dash back in. I bet you didn't remove the cable before dropping the steering column, huh?

You are correct, any trick to getting the adjustment screw back in? Any good pictures? I think I have to get a friend to help the dash up and slide it back to get it in place. Thanks

No trick, you just have to look to see where it mounts. It's up high and behind the knee panel. I'd take a pic but, I'm not taking it off to do so sorry. Hope you didn't break the mount or the cable for that matter.

It's an old Fuji FinePix 3.2. And I've been in the garage the last few days. So pics galore.

His leg fell off, which is why he was able to get that shot so quickly.
