Default tow/haul button stopped working.

My tow button used to work until i flipped my hazards on one day and they wouldnt turn off. i finally got them off but now my tow button doesnt work. Im guessing its the wiring behind the steering wheel. Im looking for the correct procedure of getting to those wires. Its the 1998 dodge ram 2500 4x4 8.0L Thanks!

Overdrive off button, yeah, that seems reasonable. All it is, is a momentary switch that suggests to the PCM that you don't want overdrive this drive cycle. if you were in the column, you probably just jiggled the connector, so that it doesn't make good contact anymore. Dig in there, see what you can see. Grab the 01 service manual from the FAQ section for wiring diagrams, and component locations.
