Default Odd oil pressure

I have a '97 1500, 2wd, 3.9 auto. The issuse that I'm working on now is possible oil pressure problems. The gauge stays right on the vertical line (not sure of what number it is) in the center of the operating range while driving, but once it's warmed up, in idle, the needle drops maybe one or two needle widths, (still in the operating range), and the light flickers. Once the engine stumbled at idle and the gauge went to zero for an instant, then back up to normal. I'm going to pick up a gauge, but can't for a while yet. Oils full with 10w30. Thoughts?

Thanks

Oil guages in these trucks suck. The signal is ran thru the PCM, and the PCM suggests to the cluster what the gauges should read. The cluster doesn't always abide by the PCM's suggestion......

Put a mechanical gauge on it SOON, and see what is REALLY going on.

Why do you not know what the # of the pressure is? My 98 and 2000 both have line's of course, but also #'s.
