That is a highly likely contributor to poor fuel economy.

I know my 98(when I had a real foot) and the 2000 get worse around town. Try feathering the throttle when you can't feel it. I do a burn out every time I leave a light or a stop sign. LOL

Yep. familiar with that. I have about 60% use of my right side...... driving can occasionally be 'fun'.....

Well, there are a couple different theories on that..... when you first start driving it after doing a PCM reset, the PCM goes into 'learn' mode. It will learn your driving style. If you drive the hell out of it, that is what the pcm will learn, if you drive like the little old lady from pasadena, it will learn that. The first style, will actually get you more perceived power as the PCM figgers things out. The second style will get you a leisurely acceleration.....

We used to do that on a regular basis back in the day. Some person would bring their car in because of 'poor performance'. We would reset the pcm, then take it out on the freeway, and wring it out. Invariably, we would get a call back from the customer, a few days after picking up the car, wondering what we did, "It's like driving a whole different car."........

Can you really burn out with just gunning it? I know tires make a different but without pushing the brake, I can't even make them chirp. I guess I really need to do my plenum.....

I still can't lay scratch, don't sweat it. Its not like you want to lose traction.

Uh, it's a truck??

Although, considering that the *** end of these basically don't weigh anything..... it should be a simple matter to get the tires smokin'..... I would think. (I haven't tried it in my truck, just don't feel a need to.)
