Hello , I have a 97 ram 1500 4x4 . I just bought the SmittyBilt XRC 8 and was wondering if it is possible to fit it between the front bumper and frame with some sort of plate? What I really want is a bull bumper of sort that I can mount the winch to .. I'm just having a hard time finding anything with out having to buy a after market bumper.. And help I'd be grateful for . thanks Ron

 

Check out some of Hammer's posts in the Great Outdoors forum. He got a removable mount for his winch, and just installed a front receiver hitch. He has some other cool stuff that plugs into it when the winch isn't on there, and it's not like you use your winch every day huh? Hanging that heavy sucker off the front of the truck DOES make a difference in handling, and fuel economy.
