Replaced the Distributor cap and rotor and nothing has changed. It tries to turn over but it wont. It makes a clicking sound after trying to start it. The truck was hooked to jumper cables. Did I mess up on replacing the distributor and rotor?

Yes I did. I checked and there is a lot of smudge down there so it looks like I will be replacing the Plenum gasket.

Guess I will be getting a new battery it looks like.

Try unscrewing the pre cat o2 sensor, see if it runs any better.

Unsrew it BEFORE you try and start it.

ok after reading all this, not to say anyone is wrong.... but, the clicking you hear is the starter seloniod which is ran off battery power, so your battery is good. im sure you know how to test for spark at your plugs, but to me it sounds like a fuel problem. try to bang on the bottom of the tank and see if you can get the thing to start, if you can then its gonna be your fuel pump. or you can goto autozone and borrow a fuel pressure tester and hook it up to your fuel rail and turn the truck over and see what it reads.

Just dropping by to give an update. The fuel pump was the culprit and discovered #8 cylinders was misfiring due to a bad injector. I got a new battery also since it was in there since 2006.
