Ohh I know that feeling. My Australian Shepard lasted through 3 relationships so far. If it wasn't for him I dont know what I'd do with my self. Plus I like pushing him in the river.
Alright so it is the IOD fuse that blows the 2nd I plug it in and the interior lights flicker when this happens. So what am I looking for. I'm on my break at work and have a haynes which doesn't say crap. I have the shop manual at home on the computer.
Try disconnecting the battery then putting in a new fuse. If it still blows you probably have a faulty wire some where. They might be one the same circuit thats why your dome lights flash.

Even if I disconnect the battery wouldn't it just blow after I hook the battery back up? I meant to say eariler how do I remove the door jam sensor. Haynes doesn't say
Yes and no with the fuse. Some times killing the power can help keep the fuse alive and or stepping up to a bigger fuse. The door jamb should be a button on the right side near the bottom. There should be button with rubber around it. That tells the truck when the door is open. To bypass it take off the rubber boot and try pulling the button and then capping the wires. But that is not a good fix.

Ok so I disconnected the battery and replaced thew iod fuse with the 10amp as it calls for. The second I out the negative cable on the terminal I heard sizziling. Opened the door looked at the fuse and its blown. Awesome.
