Default OBD fuse blows instantly, pcm port wont read, radio and over head lights wont work

I've been having electrical issues for sometime. My radio and over head lights wont work and the OBD fuse I believe it is blows the 2nd u put the fuse in. The over head lights flicker when it blows. As a result my PCM port doesnt work so i cant read codes or anything. Has anyone heard of anything like this and have any ideas. I might either today or tomrrow take it to a radio shop and have them see whats up.

Check the door jamb switches. And download the 01 FSM from the FAQ section, so you can start tracing wires.

Yea, the hell with fixing your truck. At least you'll be able to see and take pics after the beer goggles come off

Try disconnecting the battery before replacing the fuses. If the fuses are blowing as soon as you try to put them in your having power surges. Your inside light and radio should be on the same circuit. If your still blowing the fuse try replacing the relay.

I am trying to find it During my break I will go look in mine. But I did read that sometimes the cargo light fuse is connected to the dome and radio circuit. But also, did you check ll the fuses under the hood too? Again here in a few minutes Ill go take a look around my truck and see if I can spot the relay. one the Chevy's the OBD and the cigarette light are on the same circuit as well. Try disconnecting the cigarette lighter and replacing the fuse.

Well, it's the IOD fuse by the door. If that keeps blowing, it is possible the door jamb switch(s) could be the prob. If not, then there is a wiring issue somewhere.
