I finally got some pictures of the damage I did to my transmission fluid pan. That's if I can figure out how to post pictures.

Bent and tore corner of fan lip, blurry I know, was having difficulties with the camera

The dimple is normal. The magnet sits there on the inside.

 

What did you do to it, or was it like that when you got it?

 

Ok. Good to know. I see a good bit of fluid on the driver side in between the pan and seal and bottom of transmission.

Do you think the bent lip and rip in the corner will be an issue?

 

I did some off roading down at the river and bottomed out a couple of times. 4x2 baby!!

 

Take it off, bend it back, put a new gasket on.

 

Alright. Guess what I'm doing tomorrow?

BTW - I can post a "ad" in the classifieds or does a moderator have to move it there? Taking your advice gonna see if I get a bite on those 17" wheels. If not they're going on the truck!

zman17, do the transmission fluid pan bolts need to be torqued or just good and tight?

 

Yea, 13ft lbs IIRC . Someone else will chime in to confirm that. ( I hope)
