I looked up the code on the FAQ sheet "leaking pump switch or mechanical". what does this mean?

P1494 is a vac leak in/around the evap system. on my 01 its on the passenger side fenderwell, right behind the headlight. check all those vac lines for cracked ends. disconnect each one and look for swelling or cracks. for a quick fix you can likely cut off an inch or so of any that are cracked.

turn of cel by disconnecting negative batt cable and turning on headlights for 30 sec. if its still leaking, cel will come back on in about 3 days.
