Gotta grind off the rivets though.
Yeah, all mine press in...the first side was a PITA, but after we figured out what the heck we were doing, the other side was cake!

Well, yesterday it took us about 3 hours on the first lower ball joint, just figuring out how in the heck to use the press...we ended up having to take a flat piece if steel to use with the press...

After we figured everything out, today we done the upper on the drivers side and both upper and lower on the passenger side in about an hour and a half...not a hard job at all once you figure out what in the heck you're doing!!!

Even though I missed the 2wd part originally, I do know that most likely the procedure is different for a 96, than it is for a 2001.

I wouldn't think it'd be too different. How much did the front end change from 96 to 01 on a 2WD setup?

I wouldn't think it was that dramatic of a change. But there's a fairly good chance I could be wrong too.

I do know that the brake setup on the 01's has dual piston's

Well I have a 4wd so I know that's going to be more fun. I was just curious because I want to do this soon, well after the Plenum, transmission rebuild, sct tuner, and I want to try to paint it but I need to squeeze this in somewhere because it feels like I'm running over a curb when I hit speed bumps.

Because depending on year, some are pressed, some riveted, some bolted, and not to mention the PO might have had them tack welded. And your right, that isn't a dramatic difference, but also the wheel bearing style was changed.
