I agree with blue specifically a metallic royal blue.

Not the best pic but can give you an idea.

A quality paint job is nearly 3000, that'll last longer than a year or two, that's why I'm going to paint it myself

Black is the absolute last color I would paint my truck, but I live in Phoenix. I'm a fan of the old style baby-blue or maybe a metallic orange.

Yea, paint prices are all regional. I did some painting back in my 20's and it was a chore but turned out better than any "Earl Scheib" or "Maaco" special. Then I got some nicer cars and gave it up. I see now how incredibly poor the paint jobs are again and I too am considering painting my vehicles myself the next time I need it.

A couple of years ago on my wife's old 97 Accord the paint had faded badly, so we were debating whether to repaint and keep it a few more years. I went to see the workmanship at Maaco (looked at a car they had just painted) and was shocked at the runs and dust in the paint (single stage). We decided to sell the Accord and get a new car. At my current house I don't have the room to spray, but maybe at my next one I will. I already have all the equipment, just need the space and time.
