I got ahold of a pristeen 97 club cab ram 1500 and it's currently a two tone maroon and Silver. Now the truck is amazing, 5.9 V8 with only 60,000 miles and systimaticly taken care of and garage kept for the 14 years haha.

But I plan to repaint it cause I'm going to make this truck mine and plant to make it perfect for me for the rest of college and well into my career. But I dont konw WHAT to paint it.

- Black (cons - hot in summer, everyone has a black truck)
- White (cons - My buddy has a storm trooped truck already)
- Blue ( cons - not sure how that would look decked out)
- Red top 75%, black bottom quarter


Im really leaning to the red/black two tone but I don't konw just yet.

BTW, little tip, HID lights in a dodge ram = cheap and amazing.

 

Mine is black... I like it. (oh, by the way, my last name is Everybody. )

 

A little tip, if you do decide to go blue make sure it is a darkish blue, a buddy of mine just got his truck painted a lighter shade and it looks like ****.

 

It was going to be a darker blue with black brush gaurd, roll bar, and accents

 

That would look pretty awesome, i know if my buddys was darker it would look sweet, and chrome accents?

 

Dark blue would look good...

 

Red Rules..... but if I had to chose something different, it would be blue... I just took this off goggle search like this blue...

 

I hope you are planning on spending at least around $2K for a good paint job. Any cheap $300-$500 paint will be crap in a couple or three years. Even if the paint is not your favorite, I would say leave it till it gets messed up and then do it right. On a nice truck, it's worth doing it right. My 14 year old 97 has been garaged and the paint still looks great. BTW my truck is also black and somehow my last name is also Everybody. I wonder if HeyYou is a distant cousin or something?

 

my personal opinon, you might not like it but I like the look of it....red top, with the lower portion (rocker panel and up around the fender) rhinolined or line x'd. It think the bedliner gives it that tough rugged look, and it will prevent the paint in the rocker panel from chipping. just my $0.02

 

I just repainted mine...I'm also everybody...I still have to finish it, but this is what it looks like right now...
