I'd rather have the rear lower than the front. You shouldn't need notches if you have that much clearance, just drive slow and you'll be good.

Why? Not a good idea for both aerodynamic, and suspension geometry reasons.

On a lowered truck I agree, back lower than the front. Just looks cleaner.

Terribly sorry, but, wholeheartedly disagree. The rear of these trucks are already significantly lighter than the front, having the rear lower, is going to turn the truck into a wing, trying to lift the rear some more. At freeway speeds, it will be unstable. In any sort of inclement weather, it will be even more unsafe to drive.

Not to mention the horrid things it is going to do to your steering geometry. Caster is going to be WAY out of whack. Caster being the setting that makes your truck want to travel a straight line......

Very Bad Plan. Even should you have the alignment set within spec for the rear being lower, you are still going to see all the other issues mentioned. If this was a low-speed, parade only vehicle, that would be 'ok', but, for a DD, I would never even consider it.

Ok! Thanks! Good advice. Ive been looking around and the flip kit would make the back to low, so thinking of taking out 1 leaf spring to bring it down a little. Yay or nay?

Slam that b!tc#. I love a lowered 2nd gen. You can get away with a 4/6 without notches, Although notched would be better. Im gonna do a 2/5 when the funds permit. Post up some pics when you get er done.
