Default Some issues.

I have a couple issues I need to resolve.
Dodge ram 1500 1998, 5.2l 215k

First off If I go to press the brakes hard I can feel my bad wheels lock up and sometimes it's the front right wheel. Discs in the front drums in the back.

Also I get a hard clunk when shifting into reverse (rebuilt tranny) and a hard shift into first and the other gears are fine.

Does anyone know how I can go about solving these problems?

Its a pickup truck. The back end is awfully light if there is nothing in there, and the RWAL on them isn't worth the powder to blow it up. That said, might wanna yank the wheels/drums, and have a look at the shoes, if they have excessive wear, they can become 'grabby'.

What does the engine idle at? High idle will give you thumps into gear. (as will sloppy driveline parts, might wanna have a look.)

should be a bit higher than that warm. (around 600, I should think.) Might wanna have a chat with whomever rebuilt the trans, might be a little tight. (however, if the rebuild was REALLY recent, that might loosen up in a few days/week.....)
