In a previous thread I posted how I had to downgrade from my 06 Hemi QC Ram 4x4 to a 98 Ext Cab 5.2 4x4.

I felt I overpaid for the truck but did so because the body is mint. It is a one owner with 198k on the original motor, tranny, and plenum. The service list is a mile long and it was well cared for.

I have done the following:

2 inch spacer up front, 1.5 blocks for the rear.
Yokohama Geolander 285 75 16
4 freeze out plugs
sway bar end links
Replaced the rear main seal and oil pan gasket

It is running great and I am keeping my fingers crossed

 

Nice looking truck. I'd fix the plenum before you end up with cracked heads. I got mine with 78K and the plenum gasket was blown.

Thanks guys, the interior (leather) is in fantastic condition as well (minus the cracked dash). We are going to do the plenum but I am also going to rebuild another 5.2 just in case.


The only thing that is really pissin me off is the damn ABS/Brake light on my 4wal system. Dealer read it and every brake code showed. Funny thing is that I tested the anti lock and it works just fine.

 

Mine had a bad connection at PCM.
