The auto repair checked everything out again-for free. It seems there is a huge vaccum leak on both sides of the intake manifold! Even though the torque is correct on the manifold bolts, and I had installed new gaskets with sealer on them, it is still leaking air in. We are thinking the manifold is warped. so thats the next project....

Heads?
Plenum?
You could just replace the keg with a performance manifold. That way you don't have to worry about another warped keg.

Pics of the install, and a review of the product after driving the truck. You will post these here within 48 hours after completion of the install, or, the forum police will come a'huntin'.

(kidding.... Good Luck, and let us know how it goes.)

Default OK! Here is the Review!!

Got the truck back together this afternoon. As you remember, before, the engine died at almost every stop, drank gas, and carbon fouled badly. And ran way too rich. Guess what? thats all in the past now. At every stop now the engine does what its supposed to do. No more overly rich smell. No more bog in acceleration. SMOOOTH as glass. Just like they warned, the computer has to get used to this new manifold and setup. At first it idled great, but slow on acceleration. But the more I drove it, the better it ran! I drove maybe 20-30 miles on it, I was so happy with it I didn't want to stop driving! lol Before that would've used 1/4 to 1/2 a tank. It used 1/8 tank with this new manifold!!
Thank you guys so much!! This was worth every penny of that 600 bucks!!!
Check out my pics, I put one of during install, and one when I completed
Thanks again!!!!

I'm surprised those idiots didn't do a vacuum test first. That sounds logical if you're about to charge a customer $600 for a bogging down repair. But I'm glad you got it fixed and I'm jealous of your intake manifold now
