Pro-comp makes good stuff.

Wiring it in will be fun. You will have to tap into a couple circuits, if you want the light to dim with the rest of the dash lights. Grab the service manual for your truck from the FAQ section, you can find a good spot there. (all wiring diagrams are in there.)

Follow the line that goes to the bottom fitting on the radiator (the one that has/had the check valve in it,) back to the trans, tap in with your T as close to the trans as is reasonable.

I think someone did a thread on an aux cooler/filter install, that also had the gauge? Don't recall.

Thanks for that link Zman. I was just going to install the probe in the pan, but I like that much better.

So I think I'm going to buy this kit http://www.4wd.com/Jeep-Interior-Par...212#ReadReview
It's fifty bucks shipped on amazon and that's my price. Thanks for the op making this thread because I was just going to drill it but I've wanted a tranny temp gauge
You can make the gauge dim? Can you make an aftermarket radio dim? Thanks

My 5.9 360 gasser has s temp sensor on the driver side of the trans pan. 80 degrees out and 75 mph it avgs out to about 120 with small aftermarket cooler and the radiator one. Hottest I've ever seen it was sitting in downtown chicago on a 100 degree day for 30 - 40 minutes it peaked at 180 for about 5 minutes

If you search it on amazon it shows a picture, and would you recommend a external radiator?
